Welcome to Chancy and Bruce
Developmental Kindergarten (DK)

Giving students :”the gift of time” and preparing them for success!

What is the Chancy and Bruce Developmental Kindergarten Program?

For over 40 years Chancy and Bruce has specialized in school readiness and appropriate developmental skills support for students entering Kindergarten. Our Developmental Kindergarten program is for kindergarten-age students (ages 4-5) wherein there is a specific focus on social-emotional development through play and exploration, allowing for an extra year of readiness for academic success. This customized approach gives children “the gift of time” to build the foundation to learn and retain rather than struggle and regress. In addition to the social-emotional focus, our emphasis is on a developmentally appropriate curriculum focusing on 10 specific pathways to maximize the platform for learning as they enter kindergarten. This bonus year, referred to as “the gift of time” promotes educational success by focusing on a researched child-based curriculum.

"Chancy and Bruce Developmental Kindergarten has truly transformed our school's social and emotional culture, paving the way for a seamless transition to kindergarten. Through their emphasis on the 10 pathways, our students have grown immensely. The C and B training team has truly gone above and beyond with supporting our school in implementing the transformative approach to early childhood development"

What Are the Benefits Of Chancy and Bruce's Developmental Kindergarten

Chancy and Bruce's DK program, followed by a year of Kindergarten, will give children the opportunity to develop and learn over a longer range of time. This gift of time will allow the children to be children a little longer.

Our DK offers children a chance to:

• Develop socially and emotionally while building academic skills

• Develop independence and self-regulation skills alongside academic skills

• Master the pathway curriculum and build skills at a slower and deeper pace

• Become confident communicators and build vital social skills

• Gain the skills needed for starting Kindergarten the following year with a solid foundation to learn and flourish!
